Painful loss last night, obviously, one that’s still hugely disappointing this morning. We can debate back and forth endlessly about what should have been done in the bottom of the ninth — but, unfortunately, it won’t change the outcome.
So, I won’t even try.
Instead, I’ll try to improve your mood.
And that’s courtesy of Joe Kelly, tomorrow night’s starting pitcher, in all his clowning glory. Because, really, how can you be in a bad mood when you see him in action?
His latest video bomb, from last night’s pre-game show on Fox Sports Midwest — of which you can see a photo from at left — is available here. (For whatever reason, trying to embed the video is not working — sorry.)
There’s also another view of that, from the game broadcast — see that here.
And then, of course, there’s Joe Kelly, dancing machine (beyond those worm skills), from last week. Just pretend you don’t see the guy standing next to him when you click here for that one …
There also were his photo bombs from a month ago with the Fox Sports Midwest girls.
And …
Feeling better? Hopefully so …
Also, the one good thing about baseball is that even after an awful game like last night, today’s a new day — and tonight’s a new game.
Although the fact it’s against the now-hot Miami Marlins, who have won 8 of their last 10 and have gone 13-6 since playing the Cardinals in mid-June, might not be so thrilling. However, we have Joe to the rescue tomorrow afternoon — right? If things get tough for him, he can always dance.
Tonight it’s Jacob Turner against Jake Westbrook, with game time at 7:15 p.m. at Busch Stadium.
