Just in case college sports is more your thing instead of Star Wars Night or Nelly Night or Hunting and Fishing Night at Busch Stadium, the Cardinals now have something for you as well.
The Cardinals are heading back to school with the announcement of two more theme nights: Mizzou and Illini Nights at the Ballpark. Fans who purchase the special theme night tickets will receive an exclusive Cardinals cap in college colors.
On Friday, Aug. 23, the stands will be full of Cardinal red, orange and blue when the Cardinals host the Atlanta Braves during Illini Night at the Ballpark. Fans who purchase the special theme night ticket will take home a one-of-a-kind Cardinals STL cap in Fighting Illini orange and blue.
John Groce, head coach of the Fighting Illini basketball team, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
The following night, Aug. 24, is Mizzou Night at the Ballpark.Fans who purchase a themed ticket will receive an exclusive Cardinals STL cap in Tiger black and gold.
Before the game, fans can join their fellow Tigers in Riverview Corner to mingle with Mizzou athletes, Golden Girls, Truman the Tiger and enjoy music from the Mizzou traveling band.
Tickets for both nights are on sale now at cardinals.com/theme.
(As a totally unbiased observer to either of those college teams, seems like the Illini fans are getting slighted in these deals. Ah, well …)
Mizzou and Illini Nights are just some of the unique personalized theme ticket promotions planned for the 2013 season. Theme tickets are customized promotions that allow a select number of fans to celebrate a common interest while enjoying access to a unique promotional item and/or an exclusive pre-game event.
