Wong To Join Cards In Chicago

It’s Wong time, Cardinal Nation. And the Wong time is the right time, indeed.

WongYes, let the word plays begin. Kolten Wong is officially en route to Chicago where he will join the St. Louis Cardinals to make his major league debut.

Wong was selected by the Cardinals in the first round of the 2011 First-Year player draft and spent the remainder of that season in the Quad Cities with the River Bandits, under the tutelage of then-manager Johnny Rodriguez.

Since then, he’s succeeded at every level, this year being his first with AAA Memphis where he has a line of .303/.369/.466 with 21 doubles, eight triples, 10 homers, 45 RBIs and 68 runs scored.
